Natural remedies for cold flu can help make your cold less severe. Drink plenty of water and avoid fruit juices. A green tea can also help to reduce the severity of colds. Camellia Sinensis, which is a Camellia Sinensis plant, was found to boost immunity and reduce cold symptoms by University of Florida researchers. It's possible to try green tea mixed with honey. You might also like elderberry, Shiitake mushrooms, and Apple cider vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar, while not an official treatment for colds, can help boost immunity and prevent future outbreaks. Apple cider vinegar is antibacterial and can loosen accumulated mucus. This is great news for those who suffer from persistent or severe coughs. Although the claims are supported by more research, it is important to consult a doctor before making any drastic changes to your diet. Apple cider vinegar, despite its resistance to being drunk, is a great option to other drugs.

Honey

Honey is not a new idea. Honey has been used by humans as a medicine for thousands years. The Qur'an, Bible, and Qur'an both include descriptions of honey's medicinal uses. Hippocrates the Greek physician and father in early medicine wrote about its healing qualities. Oxford University conducted a study that analyzed 14 studies. Nine of these 14 studies focused on children. Most of the comparisons were made between honey and conventional treatments.

They are said to have immunomodulatory effects, and they contain all eight essential amino acids.

Elderberry

Although its effectiveness as an effective natural remedy for colds and flus has been questioned, one study shows that it may reduce the time of illness by approximately four days. In a study that involved 60 adults, this was proven to be true. More recently, a study on air travelers found that elderberry syrup also reduced the duration of illness by about four days. While it's not clear whether elderberry syrup is an effective antiviral remedy when taken orally, it can still be used as a natural supplement to help with symptoms.

How To

10 Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle

How to lead a healthy lifestyle

We live in a fast world where we don't get enough sleep, eat too much, drink too much alcohol and smoke cigarettes. We don't take care of our body's health properly.

When you work full-time, it is difficult to maintain a healthy diet and exercise program. Stress makes it even more difficult. Our minds tell us we can't handle this situation any longer so we feel guilty and give in.

If you feel like something is wrong with your body, then it probably is. You should see a doctor and ask him/her what he/she thinks about your current condition. If there are no signs of something abnormal, stress from your job could be the cause.

Some people think that they are lucky because their jobs allow them to go to gym regularly or they have some friends who help them to keep fit. Those people are lucky. Those people don’t have any problems. They have everything under control. I wish that everyone could be like them. Unfortunately, many of us don’t know how to manage our personal and work lives. Bad habits can lead to heart disease, diabetes, and other diseases.

Here are some tips that might help you to improve your lifestyle:

  1. Get 7 hours of sleep minimum and 8 hours maximum each night. This includes good sleeping habits and avoiding caffeine for the last hour before bed. Caffeine blocks melatonin, which can make it difficult for you to fall asleep. Also, ensure your bedroom is darkened and clean. You should use blackout curtains if possible, especially if your work is late at night.
  2. Eat well - Have breakfast every morning. Sugar products, fried food, processed foods and white breads should be avoided. Try to include whole grains, fruits, and vegetables for lunch. A good snack option for afternoon is to include protein-rich snacks like nuts, seeds, beans and dairy products. Avoid snacking on unhealthy foods like chips, candy, cookies, cakes, and sodas.
  3. Drink plenty of water - Most of us don' t drink enough water. Water helps us to burn more calories, keeps our skin looking young and supple, flushes toxins from our system and improves digestion. You will lose weight faster if you drink six glasses of liquid daily. You can determine how hydrated you are by examining the color of your urine. Dehydrated is yellow, orange dehydrated slightly; normal pink urine; overhydrated red urine; and clear urine indicates highly-hydrated.
  4. Regular exercise can increase energy and decrease depression. Walking is an easy way to improve your mood. Walking may appear easy but requires concentration and effort. Your brain needs to keep your eyes on the road and focus on breathing slow and deep. A brisk walk for 30 minutes can burn between 100 and 150 calories. Slowly build up and start slow. To avoid injuries, stretch after exercising.
  5. Positive thinking is crucial for mental health. When we think positively, we create a happy environment inside ourselves. Negative thoughts cause anxiety and drain our energy. Focus on what you want and do the things that will keep you motivated. If you feel overwhelmed with all the tasks, you can break each task down into smaller steps. You will fail occasionally, but you can always get up and try again.
  6. Say No. We can often be so busy that it is hard to see how much of our time we are wasting on useless tasks. It is important that you learn to say no when necessary. However, saying "no", does not necessarily mean you are rude. A No means that you can't take care of something now. You can always find other ways to complete the job later. Be clear about your boundaries. Ask for help. Delegate the work to someone else.
  7. Take care of you body. You can boost your metabolism by eating healthier foods. Avoid eating anything heavy or oily as they can raise cholesterol levels. Three meals and two snacks are a good rule of thumb. The recommended daily intake should be between 2000 and 2500 calories.
  8. Meditate - Meditation can reduce stress and anxiety. Relax your mind by sitting still with your eyes closed. This exercise will give your mind clarity, which is very important in making decisions. Meditation regularly can make you happier and more calm.
  9. Don't skip breakfast - Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Skipping breakfast may cause you to eat more at lunchtime. It's never too late for a healthy breakfast, as long as it is eaten within an hour of your waking hours. Breakfast boosts energy and helps to manage hunger.
  10. Make sure you eat clean food. Food has a greater impact on your mood than you realize. Avoid junk food, artificial ingredients and foods that are high in preservatives. These products can cause acid reflux and increase cravings. Vegetables and fruits are high in vitamins and minerals, which can lead to better overall health.
